Entertainment website Vulture has released a fun and fascinating article about comedians who do stand-up in English, despite not being native speakers (or English not being their only native language).
The piece features interviews with ten different comedians who hail from places and cultures as diverse as France, Finland, Japan, and Venezuela. Although each comedian’s story is different, many of their impressions about stand-up in English, and the comedy world in general, are surprisingly similar. So are insights about things like the German language and American audiences.
