Should you be worried about the flu shot?

As of this writing, at least72 people in South Korea have died shortly after receiving a flu shot.
Autopsies were performed on 71 of the patients, with the conclusion, supported by the South Korean government, that the fatalities aren’t due to the vaccine. A majority of the deceased were people aged 70-80, with pre-existing health problems.
Singapore has now banned flu vaccines from Sanofi and SK Bioscience, two of the seven companies whose shots are currently available in South Korea. But a majority of other countries, including the US, are sticking with the opinion of the South Korean government for now, stating that the deaths seem to be coincidental and that it’s vital to protect yourself by getting a flu shot.
It will be interesting to see how this troubling situation develops, especially in a year where a flu vaccine is more important than ever.
Read on to learn about this tragic and troubling news.
